Food

Hi Everyone!

So with the pregnancy I've been having a difficult time finding anything that's appetizing to me. And once I've thought of something that sounds appetizing, once I start eating it...it's not as great as I thought it would be and find myself getting nauseated. The other problem is thinking of great tasting, quick, simple, and healthy meals to make. I need the meals to be quick and simple because 1. time and 2. fatigue. heh... but I want them healthy for us and baby and of course yummy is a must!!!

If anyone has any suggestions of some great tasting, quick, simple, and healthy meals please let me know!!! I'm getting pretty discouraged. =(

  1. Don't get discouraged, and try not to be too hard on yourself if you have to eat something that is not very healthy. I know I couldn't stomach vegetables for the entire 10 months. And unfortunately I ate pasta and bread for the first seven. So hang in there! Your baby will be fine, just make sure you eat! And get zofran if you need it. Saved my life!

  2. Congratulations to you two on the baby!! I recommend stir fry w/ different veggies over chow mein or rice. You can cook the meats and chop the veggies on a day that you are feeling well, store them, and then pick throw it together in a wok when you are hungry. 5 minute meal! On a plus side, you'll have a bunch of pre-cut veggies anytime you need a snack. This is the first OCC baby, maybe years down the road when we all have kids, we will get them together for their own clique club :)

  4. My automatic go-to-meal when I need something fast and delicious and mostly healthy is pan chili. Just get a big pan (like a wok) and chop up 1 onion and 1 green pepper. Let those cook in the pan for like 5 minutes, then pour in a can of tomato sauce, a can of diced tomatoes, a can of black or brown beans. Let that heat up while you sprinkle chili powder, black pepper, garlic powder to taste. Easy! If you're feeling froggy you can brown some ground beef or turkey before the onions and peppers. If you like it thin, add some broth, but I like to make it think and eat it over plain spaghetti or macaroni noodles. <3
